This 2008 year Beneteau Oceanis 46 surveyed by Solent Marine Surveys at Gosport in the Sea Lift at Haslar was a typical Beneteau in many ways. Build with a monolithic or single skin GRP hull with an internal bonded in tray matrix, grid or internal liner as Beneteau tend to call them, with a balsa cored deck. Beneteau has led the world in the production of reasonable quality low cost designs, with the builder being a favourite with charter fleet operators for that reason. The Oceanis range offers huge accommodation for the length overall with reasonable sailing performance, particularly off the wind.
