The Fleming range of solid semi-displacement trawler type motor yachts are very good looking. In some ways they typify the trawler style of motor boat. They have a long range at low rpm and the possibility of faster speeds if and when required, albeit at a higher fuel burn rate.
This Fleming 55 was built of substantially hand laid single skin GRP in both the hull and the deck. As with all Far Eastern constructed types, the build quality does require a careful inspection by a qualified marine surveyor.
Internally the hardwood joinery had been finished to the highest standards and was also of substantial construction. This is in contrast to the more modern European or USA copies which have a fraction of the displacement for similar length.
